Book early: how December dates disappear

Here is the practical reality of the Christmas season. There are only four Fridays and four Saturdays in December, most companies want one of them, and every booth company in Lancashire has a finite number of units and attendants. The first weekend of December and the two weekends before Christmas book out first, and by October the choice on those dates is usually whatever is left rather than whoever you want.

Booking in September or October costs you nothing extra. The £75 deposit locks the date, the balance is not due until nearer the party, and you get first pick of booth, template design and arrival time. For a Friday or Saturday in December, we recommend booking by the end of September. Midweek December dates stay open longer, often into November. Whenever you book, a £75 deposit is all it takes to hold the date, so there is no reason to wait for final guest numbers.

Can you attend a shared party night at a hotel?

Yes, with one caveat: on a shared party night the hotel controls the room, so the booth needs to be approved by the events team and booked by whoever holds the party reservation. Some hotels only allow their own preferred suppliers on shared nights, others are happy for us to attend. Tell us the venue when you enquire and we will confirm directly with their events office. How does setup work at a hotel venue?

We arrive around an hour before your hire starts, load in through the service entrance where the hotel requires it, and have the booth running before guests sit down or as the evening reception begins. We carry £5M public liability insurance and all our kit is PAT tested, which covers the paperwork hotels ask for. A trained attendant stays with the booth for the whole hire, so the hotel staff and your organisers never have to touch it.
