The Glass House is one of the Fylde coast’s loveliest modern wedding venues — a glass-walled room on Staining Lodge Golf Course where crystal chandeliers and wooden beams meet floor-to-ceiling windows and open countryside. Licensed for civil ceremonies up to 150 guests (with a white outdoor gazebo for summer ceremonies), seating 150 for the wedding breakfast and 200-plus for evening celebrations, it runs on exclusive use from 10am to 1am — and with luxury lodges now on site, the wedding party can even stay over.

We know this venue properly. CandidCamera is based minutes away in Poulton-le-Fylde and we have covered many weddings here: ceremonies in front of that glazed wall (the natural light is genuinely flattering — photographs of your vows here never need rescuing), drinks receptions in the private garden, and evening turnarounds behind the venue’s mirrored bi-fold doors.

A few things experience has taught us. The magic mirror works best against a solid wall rather than the glass, so your guests are never backlit once the evening draws in — and our red-carpet-and-stanchions entrance gives it a sense of occasion without crowding the dance floor. The selfie pod loves the corridor by the wrap-around windows and moves easily when the room is re-set. For portraits, golden hour on the fairways is the moment we plan around, and the open course gives our CAA-licensed drone pilots safe launch points — the aerial wedding film on our drone page was shot here, with Blackpool Airport clearance arranged in advance.
