The Villa Wrea Green is a country house hotel on Moss Side Lane in Wrea Green, set in rolling parkland and reached by its own private driveway. The house began life as a 19th-century gentleman's residence — its crest carries the date 1857 — and it still has the well-proportioned public rooms to match. Weddings are held either in The Hall inside the house or out in the purpose-built pavilion marquee, and with 31 en-suite bedrooms on site your closest guests can stay the night rather than ordering taxis.

We've worked here. In April 2026 we covered a wedding in the pavilion with both the magic mirror and the audio guest book: the mirror set against the ivory drapes with its red carpet, ropes and silver stanchions, and a vintage telephone waiting on an antique side table beside it for guests to leave the couple a message. The drapes are the reason the mirror looks so well in there — they make a backdrop of their own, so nothing of ours has to fight the room or hide in a corner.

A marquee pavilion is worth planning properly, and we'd rather say so: the power run is longer than an indoor room and the floor matters underfoot. It's never a problem, we just like to know before the day rather than on it. If your ceremony is in The Hall and the party moves out to the pavilion afterwards, tell us and we'll set up in the room you'll actually be dancing in. The private driveway and the parkland, meanwhile, give our photographers real range — the approach to the house, portraits away from the marquee, and the open fields behind for the end of the day.

One honest note on aerial film: The Villa sits close to BAE Warton's controlled airspace, so a drone flight here needs permission from air traffic control rather than just good weather, and that permission is sometimes refused. We're CAA-licensed and insured and we'll always ask well ahead of your date and tell you straight what the answer is — and if we can't fly safely and lawfully, the drone element is refunded in full.
