Wedding Photo Booth Hire in Lytham St Annes

Photo booth hire for a Lytham St Annes wedding starts at £179 with us, and because we are based in Thornton-Cleveleys, about 20 minutes up the coast, travel to Lytham is free. Every wedding hire includes 4 hours of run time, unlimited prints, props and a trained attendant, with a magic mirror option from £229 if you want something with more presence for a formal venue.

We have run booths and mirrors at more than 500 events across Lancashire, and Lytham weddings come up again and again in our diary. Here is what actually works in the town's venues, what it costs, and how to book.

Why Lytham St Annes is such a strong wedding town

Lytham has a wedding scene that punches well above its size. The town centre gives you the Georgian and Victorian streets around Clifton Square for photographs, the windmill and the Green for that classic Fylde coast backdrop, and a cluster of venues within a few minutes of each other, so guests are never far from their hotels. St Annes adds the pier, the beach and a run of seafront hotels a short drive down the coast road.

For us as suppliers, the practical point is simple: it is all close together. We can load in, set up and be print-ready without the long motorway runs that push other companies' prices up. Our free travel zone covers venues within 10 miles of our FY5 base, and Lytham sits right at the edge of it, so there is no travel charge on a Lytham St Annes booking.

Lytham venues we know

We only talk about venues we have genuinely worked at or know well, so here are the ones worth flagging.

Clifton Arms Hotel

The Clifton Arms Hotel on West Beach is the grand old lady of Lytham weddings, looking straight out over the Green towards the estuary. We have worked here before: our selfie pod at a doctors' ball at the Clifton Arms is written up on the blog if you want to see how a compact setup fits the function space. For weddings here we usually suggest either the selfie pod, which tucks neatly into a corner without crowding the room, or the magic mirror, which suits the hotel's formal feel.

The Villa at Wrea Green

A short drive inland from Lytham, The Villa at Wrea Green is one of the Fylde's busiest wedding venues and one we know well. Our magic mirror wedding at The Villa case study shows the mirror set up in the function room, and it is a venue where the full-length mirror really earns its keep with group shots.

Photos from these and hundreds of other events are in our gallery, so you can see real output from real Lancashire weddings rather than stock images.

Booth, mirror or pod for a Lytham wedding?

The three options do slightly different jobs, and the right one usually comes down to your venue and your evening plan.

  • Photo booth (from £179): the classic enclosed setup. Guests love the privacy of it, which is why booth strips end up being the silliest photos of the night. Our photo booth hire page covers the details.
  • Magic mirror (from £229): a full-length touchscreen mirror, open-air, so it doubles as a piece of the room rather than a box in the corner. It handles big group shots and suits dressier venues like the Clifton Arms. See magic mirror hire.
  • Selfie pod (from £180): the smallest footprint of the three, ideal where floor space is tight or you want the setup somewhere unconventional. Details on our selfie pod page.

Plenty of Lytham couples also add an audio guest book from £129, a retro telephone that records voice messages from guests through the evening. It pairs well with a booth because one captures faces and the other captures voices.

If you are torn between the booth and the mirror, we have written a full comparison: should I hire a magic mirror or a booth for my wedding?

What it costs

Our pricing is flat and published, with no seasonal wedding markup:

  • Photo booths from £179
  • Selfie pods from £180
  • Magic mirrors from £229
  • Audio guest books from £129

Every booth hire includes 4 hours, unlimited prints, a props box and a trained attendant who stays with the setup all night. Extra hours are £40 each, which is worth considering for weddings because the gap between the meal and the first dance often eats into a standard slot. A £75 deposit secures your date, with the balance not due until nearer the day. Full details are on our pricing page, and if you want the wider market context there is a complete breakdown in how much does photo booth hire cost?

Everything we run is PAT tested and we carry £5M public liability insurance, which Lytham hotels and licensed venues will usually ask to see before your date. We send the documents straight to your coordinator so it is one less job on your list.

Timing your booth on a wedding day

For a typical Lytham wedding with a 3pm ceremony and an evening do from 7pm, we would suggest running the booth from around 7:30pm to 11:30pm. That catches the crossover when day and evening guests are mingling, covers the first dance crowd, and keeps the booth busy right through to last orders. If your evening reception starts later, we simply shift the slot; the 4 hours are yours to place where they work hardest.

We arrive well before your start time to set up, and setup time is never taken out of your paid hours.

Booking a wedding booth in Lytham St Annes

Popular Lytham dates go early, especially summer Saturdays, so we would always suggest securing your date as soon as your venue is confirmed. You can check availability and book online in a couple of minutes, and the £75 deposit locks the date in. If you would rather talk it through first, call us on 01253 835 838 or WhatsApp 07492 885 199.

We hold a 5.0 Google rating from 64 reviews, which you can read on our reviews page. There is more on our approach to wedding days on our weddings page, and more local background on our Lytham St Annes area page.

Frequently asked questions

Do you charge travel to Lytham St Annes?

No. Lytham is around 20 minutes from our Thornton-Cleveleys base and sits within our free travel zone, so there is no travel charge on Lytham St Annes bookings. Beyond 10 miles from FY5 we charge 50p per mile round trip, which keeps even the far end of Lancashire affordable.

Which Lytham wedding venues have you worked at?

We have worked at the Clifton Arms Hotel in Lytham and, a few minutes inland, The Villa at Wrea Green, both written up as case studies on our blog. Across the wider Fylde we have covered venues from Blackpool to Ribby Hall, and if your venue is new to us we will contact them directly beforehand to sort access and power.

How much space does the booth need?

The enclosed booth needs roughly 2m x 2m plus queueing room, the magic mirror needs a similar footprint but with open space in front of it, and the selfie pod fits almost anywhere. All three need a standard plug socket nearby. If you are unsure, send us your venue's name and we will advise on the best spot.

Can we personalise the prints for our wedding?

Yes. Every wedding hire includes a custom print template with your names and date, matched to your colour scheme where you have one. We share the design with you before the day so you can tweak it.

How late can the booth run?

As late as your venue allows. Most Lytham hotels run evening receptions to 11:30pm or midnight, and we will happily run to close. Extra hours beyond the included 4 are £40 each, arranged in advance or on the night if the party is still going.
