Saturday 23rd August 2026 was a brilliant day for us at The River Barn in Poulton-le-Fylde. We were there to celebrate Melissa and Dylan's wedding, and our Magic Mirror was a busy spot all night. Here is a look back at how it went.
The Venue: Wedding at The River Barn
The River Barn is one of our Preferred Partner venues, so we know the space well. It is a lovely setting for a wedding, with a relaxed, welcoming feel that guests settle into quickly.
For anyone searching for magic mirror hire at The River Barn, the venue works well for it. There is room to set up a proper entertainment area without it getting in the way of the day, and guests can drift over between speeches, dinner and dancing.
The Magic Mirror
For Melissa and Dylan, we provided our Magic Mirror. If you have not seen one before, it looks like a stylish full-length mirror until a guest steps up to it. Then it comes to life with animations and prompts, taking photos and guiding people through the experience.
It suits weddings so well because it feels like part of the evening's glamour rather than a gimmick. Guests of all ages were happy to give it a go, from groups of friends to family members who were not sure at first and ended up loving it.
The Red Carpet Treatment
We set up with a red carpet, ropes and silver stanchions, which gave the Magic Mirror a proper VIP entrance. It made guests feel like they were arriving at a premiere, and it got people laughing before a single photo was taken.
Because the Magic Mirror needs no backdrop, the setup stayed clean and elegant. We also arrived an hour early, so everything was ready and tested well before guests came to find it.
Prints, Props and Digital Copies
Guests could take home a keepsake from the night. Here is what was included:
- Double prints, so guests could keep one and share one
- A bespoke print design created for Melissa and Dylan's day
- A choice of hundreds of print templates to build from
- A fun prop box for plenty of silly and sweet moments
- A download link with high quality digital copies of every photo
The mirror comfortably fitted groups of four or more, which meant no one got left out of the pictures. Our friendly attendant was on hand throughout to help guests and keep the queue moving, and unlimited visits meant people could keep coming back for another go.
