The Mill at St Catherine's Park is a restored 18th-century barn in the hospice's own parkland at Lostock Hall, Preston — a social enterprise whose profits fund St Catherine's Hospice care. By day it's a much-loved café and community hub; from 5pm every day it becomes an exclusive-hire events venue for up to 150 guests with an outdoor terrace, a licensed bar, live-music licence, in-house Lancashire catering and free parking. The first-floor Lostock Room seats 40 for corporate hire, and the kitchen was extended in early 2026.

We've worked a wedding at The Mill, so we know what a special place this is — and that every event here quietly does some good.

The mirror earns its place along a wall clear of the bar, glowing against the original barn features; the compact selfie pod suits the Lostock Room; funeral receptions are looked after gently, with the audio guest book offered alone if the family prefers — quiet, no flashes, every recording kept.
