Marsh Farm Hall is a family-run celebration venue on Garstang Road in Great Eccleston, in the Lancashire countryside between Poulton-le-Fylde and Garstang, and it has been welcoming weddings since 1992. The Main Hall carries the whole day — 150 for a welcome reception, 100 for a ceremony, 80 for the wedding breakfast and 80 for dancing — and there is room on the ground for a tipi or marquee for up to 150. Weddings are held with total exclusivity, and holiday cottages on site mean your closest guests can stay the night rather than ordering taxis at midnight.

We've worked here. In May 2026 we set our magic mirror up in the tipi for a wedding, and by the end of the night guests had taken 264 photographs through it. What we remember is how little fuss the tipi made of it: the canvas and the festoon lights did all the work, so the mirror needed no backdrop at all and sat naturally in the space instead of being boxed into a corner behind a frame. The props went out along a trestle table with the printer at one end, so guests collected a print on the way past instead of crowding the mirror waiting for one.

A tipi does need thinking about, and we'd rather say so: the power run and the carry are longer than an indoor room, and the ground matters underfoot. None of it is a problem — we just like to know before the day rather than on it. Inside, the Main Hall changes shape around your guests more than once, so we plan our position around the version of the room you'll actually be dancing in. The audio guest book belongs on a side table away from the speakers, and with the cottages on site the recordings tend to get played back over breakfast the next morning.

Great Eccleston also sits in clear airspace, which makes Marsh Farm Hall one of the more straightforward venues on the Fylde for aerial film of the hall, the grounds and the tipi ground from above.
