The Blackpool Tower Ballroom is one of the great rooms of the North West, and we know it from the inside. We have worked at the Tower twice — a wedding in the Ballroom in August 2024, where we delivered 482 photographs to the couple, and a corporate event in March 2026 — so we arrive already knowing the lift run, the load-in and the way this room behaves once the floor fills.

The Ballroom has a stage and balconies, and that changes where we stand. Our magic mirror set along a wall near the dance floor is visible from the balcony rail above, so it reads as part of the spectacle rather than something tucked away in a corner, and the red carpet keeps the queue clear of the floor. The room is built for numbers — up to 3,000 standing or 2,000 seated — so for a full Ballroom we will always talk to you about a longer hire, or a second unit at the far end, rather than let anyone spend their evening in a line.

The Tower is more than one room. The Fifth Floor has its own entrance, cloakroom and registration area, no natural light by design and a bar the length of the room, which makes a print selfie pod near that bar the natural fit for a conference night or an awards evening. Tower Top takes up to 150 guests and holds a wedding licence, with the Irish Sea behind you — a space to move through rather than fill, so we send a roaming photographer and put the audio guest book, a vintage telephone needing no power and almost no space, on a side table. The Circus, with its own bandstand and a floor that sinks, is made for a moment, and event photography from the ring itself is the right call there.

Because bookings here run from a single room to a whole-building takeover across eleven rooms, we are happy to split our units: one where the ceremony or the presentation happens, another where the party lands. We price that honestly rather than charging twice for the same evening.

Access at a landmark building matters, and we plan for it. Every function space is reached by lift, and the Ballroom main entrance lift is limited to 200kg, so we agree the load-in door, the lift and a time slot with the events team when the booking is made, and we split our kit into trolley loads that clear the doorways comfortably. There is no car park on site, so we allow for Central Car Park or the Houndshill and the walk along the Promenade, and we still arrive around ninety minutes before you need us. Aerial work is the one thing we will not promise here: the Tower sits on the seafront close to Blackpool Airport and is a major structure in its own right, so any flight is permission-first, may not be possible, and is refunded in full if it cannot go ahead.
