Year 6 Leavers Prom at Hoddlesden Club – Magic Mirror Hire

Year 6 leavers only get one send-off, so it had better be a good one. On 10th July 2026, we had the pleasure of being part of an absolutely brilliant Leavers Prom at the Hoddlesden Club, and what a night it turned out to be.

The Venue: Hoddlesden Club

Hoddlesden Club is a well-established local venue that works brilliantly for community events like school proms and leavers parties. It offered a welcoming atmosphere that was just right for a room full of excited Year 6 pupils celebrating a huge milestone.

For a school prom at this age, you want somewhere that feels special without being intimidating, and Hoddlesden Club delivered exactly that. The space gave us plenty of room to set up properly and gave the kids the run of a proper event experience.

The Magic Mirror: A Hit From the Start

We brought along our Magic Mirror for the evening, and it was absolutely the right choice for this crowd. The Magic Mirror is an interactive full-length mirror that lets guests sign their prints, add stamps and emojis, and walk away with a keepsake in hand. For Year 6 leavers, that kind of tactile, personalised memento means the world.

From the moment we set it up, there was a queue forming. These kids were naturals in front of the mirror, pulling poses, grabbing props and having the time of their lives.

The red carpet and stanchions in particular set the tone beautifully. Walking into your Leavers Prom down a red carpet at age 11 is the kind of memory that sticks with you, and it was wonderful to see the children stepping into that moment with huge smiles on their faces.

Bespoke Prints They'll Keep Forever

One of our favourite things about events like this is the prints. Every child left with a personalised keepsake that was designed specifically for their Year 6 Leavers night. The bespoke design meant the prints felt unique to the occasion rather than generic, and we know from experience that those little photo strips end up stuck on bedroom walls for years to come.
