A Beautiful Wedding Day at The Dunes Hotel

On Saturday 5th July 2025, we had the pleasure of being part of Daisy and Luke's wedding day at The Dunes Hotel in Cumbria. It was a brilliant event from start to finish, and we're so glad the couple chose CandidCamera to help capture the fun.

The Dunes Hotel sits right beside Roanhead Beach, and it's a genuinely special setting for a wedding. The combination of the boutique hotel's charm and the coastal backdrop gives the whole day a relaxed, romantic feel that guests clearly loved. It's the kind of venue that does a lot of the work for you.

We set up our Black Gloss Photo Booth for the reception, and it went down an absolute storm. The sleek black gloss finish looked fantastic in the venue, and it drew guests in throughout the evening.

With unlimited visits and space for up to four people per session, there was no waiting around and no one felt left out. Whether it was the wedding party piling in together or guests sneaking back for a second (or third!) go, the booth was busy right the way through the night.

The personalised photo guest book was a real highlight. Instead of a traditional guestbook, Daisy and Luke's friends and family got to stick in their prints and write a message alongside them. It's one of those keepsakes that'll mean so much more as the years go by.

316 Photos and Counting

Over the course of the evening, guests made 316 photos inside the booth. That's 316 genuine moments of laughter, silliness and celebration, all printed on the night and saved forever in the online gallery.

Why a Photo Booth Works So Well at a Wedding

Weddings are full of emotion, but they can also have lulls, especially during the gap between the ceremony and the evening reception. A photo booth gives guests something to do, something to laugh about and something physical to take home at the end of the night.

The bespoke print design meant every strip had Daisy and Luke's names and wedding date on it, so every guest left with a proper memento. It's a small detail that makes a big difference.
