A Magical Harry Potter Wedding at The Park Hotel, Blackpool

When Katie got in touch about her Harry Potter themed wedding, we knew it was going to be a special one. The attention to detail that goes into a themed wedding like this is something else, and we were thrilled to be part of the celebration on 14th June 2025 at The Park Hotel in Blackpool.

The Venue: The Park Hotel, Blackpool

The Park Hotel is a well-established event venue in Blackpool and a popular choice for weddings across Lancashire and the North West. It has the kind of space that lends itself perfectly to a themed celebration, with a grand feel that suited the wizarding world aesthetic Katie and her partner had created beautifully.

It is the sort of venue where you arrive and immediately feel like something special is about to happen. For a Harry Potter wedding, that atmosphere was absolutely spot on.

Our Magic Mirror at Mrs + Mrs Gibbons-Jones' Wedding

For this wedding, we brought along our Magic Mirror, and it was a brilliant fit for the occasion. The Mirror has a theatrical quality to it that complemented the magical theme perfectly, drawing guests in throughout the evening and keeping the energy up long after the ceremony.

We set things up with a full red carpet, ropes and silver stanchions, giving guests their very own VIP entrance to the mirror experience. It added a real sense of occasion and made every visit feel like an event in itself.

The bespoke print design was one of the highlights. Every print that came out of the mirror was branded to match the wedding theme, so guests went home with a proper keepsake rather than a generic photo strip. That personal touch really does make a difference.

The Audio Guest Book: A Modern Twist on a Classic Tradition

Alongside the Magic Mirror, the happy couple also booked our Audio Guest Book as part of a combo package. Rather than written messages that often get tucked away and forgotten, guests picked up the telephone handset and left a voice message for Mrs + Mrs Gibbons-Jones.

At a themed wedding like this, the retro telephone style of the audio guest book felt right at home. It gave guests a chance to say something heartfelt, funny or completely daft, and the couple now have a recording full of memories from their big day that they can listen back to whenever they like.

252 Photos and Counting

By the end of the night, the Magic Mirror had captured 252 photos across the evening. That is a lot of memories, a lot of laughs, and we imagine a fair few wizard hats and wands from the prop box made an appearance along the way.
